Smart Buildings and more broadly Smart Cities have always been at the center of Emmanuel François’ professional career. Aware of the importance of sustainable and responsible digital technology, he joined the Urban Practices team to promote the vision of the 3rd urban revolution and to support public and private decision makers in the implementation of these changes.

Emmanuel François founded in 2012 the Smart Buildings Alliance for Smart Cities (SBA), which he chaired until July 2022, with the aim of creating a virtuous ecosystem around the challenges of the environmental transition of buildings and cities while relying on digital tools.
